Breyer #1344 "Delilah" Traditional Saddle Club

Delilah, a beautiful palomino mare, is a school horse at Pine Hollow Stables. In Bonnie Bryant's novel "Horse Crazy," the first book in The Saddle Club series, Delilah is ridden and cared for by Carole Hanson, a seventh grader at Willow Creek Junior High School who is well-known as the most talented rider at Pine Hollow. Stevie Lake and Carole Hanson have been best friends forever and are experienced riders. Lisa Atwood is new to Pine Hollow Stables and hasn't spent much time around horses. At first, it seems as though Lisa and Stevie will never get along, but with Pine Hollow's annual overnight trail ride just around the corner, both girls find themselves unable to go. Stevie's parents refuse to pay for the trip if she doesn't improve her grades at school, and Lisa's mom doesn't think she's ready. With Carole's help, they soon develop a friendship and devise a plan that is sure to get their parents' approval. Note: This model is based on the equine character in Bonnie Bryant's novel "Horse Crazy," not pictured on the cover, and is not a reflection of the horse in The Saddle ClubTM television series.
